Lily's Rabbit Hole

Quality Mini Rex, Netherland Dwarf and Lionheads... also the more uncommon Astrex, Micro Rex and Velvet Lion

MINI REX DOES

Lily's Berang
Castor-VM

We kept one Doe kit from our pairing of Archway's Cutie Pie (Chinchilla) and Berlena's Lego (Tort-VC) and we are very happy with our choice to keep this girl.  So glad that we did... her babies are earning G.C. legs left and right.  Some of her Grand Champion offspring from her first pairing with Mavi include Berma and Maybe... and her second pairing with him has produced more wonderful BEWs who are now old enough to earn legs as well (Hanz [1], Henri [1], Heidi [2]).

One of Berang's daughters who is an amazing little BEW.  Small in size but great balance and proportion.  She has inherited her awesome fur from her sire Mavi and as a Jr. nearly took Best of Breed!

BJ's Bling
Registered Grand Champion
BEW

Thanks SO much to Berlena in California (www.berlena.net) for this incredible girl.  She is one of the sweetest rabbits... and a Grand Champion to boot!

Lily's Bleu Belle
BEW
2 legs

Great looking Doe for an F-2 hybrid!  We are very pleased with her body type and fur quality and the judges seem to agree... placing 2nd after our best BEW Doe Berma a number of times.  Now that we have sold Berma, Belle has put up some good competition against purebred rabbits.  Recently bred to Salem (black-VM), her little F-3 Hybrids are looking quite nice.

Berlena's Bruiser
Black ~ VM

This friendly doe has awesome fur and type.  She will be a superb addition to my BEW breeding program.  Bruiser had her first litter on 8-28-07 and she certainly defied the percentage averages... of the 7 kits she kindled... 5 are BEWs!

Lily's Curacao
BEW
Registered
1 G.C. leg

The one surviving kit from Melynas first litter... she just didn't seem to know what to do that first time around... but now, she's an awesome mom!  Update:  This little (now Sr.) Doe is developing very much like her mother... great fur and nice body... recently bred to little Liam we are hoping for some nice VC/VMs!

Amanda's Flopsy
Seal (Astrex?)

Another of Amanda's curly coated kits... what's the saying... 'you can't have just one'!

Lily's Georgia
Sable

It was hard to decide which Sable doe to keep from Curiositas most recent pairing with Mocha... Geri found a great home with Cassi and Gypsy... and little Georgia girl will stay here to keep mom company.

Update: Fall 2009  Georgia has helped our Micro program grow with the gift of a tiny 2 1/2 lb Smoke Pearl daughter

Lily's Lindor
Chocolate

At nearly 12 weeks old this little Doe is the size of your average 5 - 6 week old kit... we are keeping our fingers crossed that she has inherited her Grand Dam's nice tiny genes and hope to add her to our Micro Rex breeding program.  Update: Fall 2009  Lindor has given us some wonderful micros.... Liam (2 1/4 lb Buck, proven), Lima (2 1/2 lb Doe, proven), SnickersII (2 1/2 lb Broken Chocolate) and Snacker (2 1/2 lb Chocolate Himalayan)

Lily's Lumi
BEW
2 legs

Well... I know people continually comment that one should 'never' breed a rex furred rabbit to a regular furred rabbit as "it will take many generations before one achieves a good quality rex fur again"... I have to disagree with this from first hand experience.  Little Lumi is an F-3 Hybrid who has been receiving incredible comments from the judges... yeah, so, we can't ever officially 'Grand' her but there's no reason she can't just continue to earn legs.  Other F-2s and F-3s who have done real well on the show table (earning a number of legs) are Bleu Belle and Brewski.

Berlena's Melynas
BEW
Registered Grand Champion
BOV Midnight Madness 2007, Topsfield, MA
BOSV Windham, ME February 16, 2008  1 leg
BOSV Midnight Madness 2008, Topsfield MA 1 leg
BOV Midnight Madness 2008, Topsfield MA  1 leg

I can't wait to get this doe on the show table... her half sibling just won BOV for Berlena at Nationals!  Update:  Melynas had her first show on August 5th (Midnight Madness).  She received some wonderful comments and got BOV as well!   New Update:  Melynas took BOSV recently in Windham, ME (February 16th) and that was with 9 week old kits!  August '08... she did it again... took home two more legs soon after raising a litter.  You go girl!

Lily's Mocha Double Latte  ~ SOLD ~
Sable

Nice, tiny little doe...  Hmmm a consideration toward my Dwarf Rex breeding program...

Amanda's Mopsy
Seal (Astrex)

Ok... so we couldn't just stop at two new curly Does, when that third one was so darn cute too!

Lily's Pacifica  ~ SOLD ~
BEW
Registered
1 leg

One of the resulting kits from the pairing of BJ's Bling and Coffelt's True Blue.  Pacifica earned her first leg toward Grand Championship at Waltham on January 13th.

Berlena's Sapphires  ~ SOLD ~
BEW
2 legs

What an incredible surprise!  I went along to a rabbit show with a good friend of mine and this gorgeous Doe was for sale.  Knowing that I couldn't really afford to bring home another $150 Doe, I tried to stay away from the breeder who was offering her... just to resist any temptation.  Well... would you believe that my friend turned around and bought her for me!?!  Total shock and overwhelming surprise brought me to tears.  What an incredible gift from my good friend.  I can't even begin to put into words my sincere thanks to Donna for giving me Sapphires.  Thank you Donna, from the bottom of my heart.

Update:  3 of Sapphires Jr. Bucks have won G.C. legs for us so far.... what great bloodlines she has!

Lily's Tippe
Lilac Himalayan Micro
2 1/2 lbs

Wow!  I have never been really attracted to the Himalayan variety but boy is the Lilac version to die for!  People/breeders have continually commented that the 'most recessive' colored rabbit is a Lilac Tort and that one should use this in order to see what recessive genes another rabbit is carrying... but... in all truth, it is a Lilac Himalayan that is the most recessive 'color' there is.  The great thing is that once I can breed her to my new Blue Seal Buck, we will have all Smoke Pearl, Lilac Pearl, and/or Blue Point/Lilac Point offspring... my all time favorite colors!!  (Go Jeremy!)
