About Us...

Our goal here at Lily's Rabbit Hole is to raise top quality rabbits for both show and pet, with temperament being key. Our main focus has been the challenge to breed a Dwarf 'Micro' Rex... the perfect project for pet therapy! (Say that ten times fast)

We could only begin to imagine how a tiny little velvet bunny, with its small size from its Dwarf parentage and its luxurious velveteen fur quality from its Rex parentage, could work its therapeutic miracles!

In trying to breed a clean line of Micro Rex rabbits, our small forty hole rabbitry started with quality Netherland Dwarf and Mini Rex breeding stock... as is the case with many other rabbit breeders, we had a hard time sticking with just the two breeds (three including the now Micro Rex) and along the way we added the beautiful Lionhead rabbit. By reintroducing the Netherland Dwarf back into our Lionhead line, we now have a wonderful line of Lionheads with the compact body, small ears, great mane and overall type. They have received some very nice comments by some of the more experienced Lionhead breeders. We continue to work on perfecting to the working standard.

All that being said, at Lily's Rabbit Hole we raise, show and sell Mini Rex, Netherland Dwarf, and Lionhead Rabbits of both show and pet quality. We also offer, for pet sales only, our Micro Rex and Velvet Lions from time to time... see our 'Rabbits Available' page for availability and pricing.

Where are we?

Lily's Rabbit Hole is located in the foothills of the Monadnock area of beautiful Southern New Hampshire. Although most of our hardy lagomorphs are raised in large outdoor hutches, we raise many of our pet quality stock inside where they are already litter box trained before going to their new homes. Our customers, of which so many have now become our friends, certainly seem to appreciate this.
